Here is a look at Jason & Crystal. 2 days old, baby Cockatiels. Born Friday the 13th!
I can’t believe it… Cammy and I, finally got the nerve and time, to boot Lemon out of the nest, and try to clean it. Inside, we found, not ONE, but TWO!!! Baby Cockatiels!! Both clearly born the same day, or 1 day apart,max. It was scary, but, I got them out, and changed up the bedding in the nest. This is critical, as they can get infection and die, from the poop in the nest. Lemon is back inside, and it seams everything went well. I only wanted the whole process to take less than about 3 minutes, but, we managed to fire off a few quick shots for you, and a few seconds of video. So cool… here they are! Friday the 13th babies!!
Baby Cockatiel: Ripley
Yesterday, I got the nest out and cleaned it up. It was my 1st really good look at Ripley. So far, everything looks good. I took a bunch of video, but haven’t had the time to do anything with it, so, instead, for now, here are a few pictures of the little furry thing. I hope to get better shots soon. He’s yellow and fuzzy! lol.

Yesterday was my Birthday…. the same day I said that the eggs in the nest were probably not even fertile. It’s been 2 months…. and only 1 egg ever hatched, CRICKET. Yet, as I prepared to crash out for the night, a tiny little gaping sounds filled the air…. I was in total disbelief, but I knew what it was… a NEW baby! Today, just before taking the girls to school, I got a peak at it for you.. Meet, RIPLEY (yep, from ALIEN). He/She (here we go again) is less than 24 hours old. =) Incase you were wondering, YES, that is CRICKET with the new baby!! (Cricket is 6 weeks old)
Cricket posed for some nice pictures today. He/She is starting to get a little Vocal. Also, he grabbed finger with his feet for the first time today. Very exciting.
