I managed to get Jason & Crystal out for a little bonding session. They were really good. Both are starting to walk about and so far show little fear of me. I hope to visit with them again tomorrow. I pulled out the bloggie and got a little clip so you can have a peak at them in motion. =)

I can’t believe it… Cammy and I, finally got the nerve and time, to boot Lemon out of the nest, and try to clean it. Inside, we found, not ONE, but TWO!!! Baby Cockatiels!! Both clearly born the same day, or 1 day apart,max. It was scary, but, I got them out, and changed up the bedding in the nest. This is critical, as they can get infection and die, from the poop in the nest. Lemon is back inside, and it seams everything went well. I only wanted the whole process to take less than about 3 minutes, but, we managed to fire off a few quick shots for you, and a few seconds of video. So cool… here they are! Friday the 13th babies!!

How is the giardia treatment going?

I think it’s going well. The baby, Ripley is growing feathers back… And, everyone seams to be at a point where I don’t notice any further damage to them. However, Perlie, the Dad, has been plucking them aggressively and had to be removed. So, looks like I had a 2 fold problem, but I think we’re on the mend… I will try to get them all out for a good look early this week. They are out all the time, but I don’t bother there problem areas. So, I want to annoy them a bit by poking around to see how they are healing. Ripley looks to be in the early stages of growing new feathers, so, that’s super cool. Now, what to do with my Evil Perlie…

To my amazement, I just found Ripley in the food bowl, eating!...

To my amazement, I just found Ripley in the food bowl, eating! He/She is so far ahead of where Cricket was at this age. Ripley was begging for food, so, I thought I’d put Perlie in the cage for a bit (Who has been screaming ALL day as usual). Soon as I opened the cage, he bit me and made me bleed. So, I didn’t do it. I don’t wish to ever touch this bird again. Ripley, without Perlie… went ahead, and ate himself. So awesome. My other birds don’t attack or bite. I like that so much better than dealing with Perlie who attacks and bites 24/7. I didn’t know it when I snapped these 2 pics, but, you can see a seed in Ripleys mouth. Cool…

I admire your blog! Your birds are precious. My heart really melts when I see Ripley!
